Would You Move Abroad?
Ask a Question
I love the idea of living in a different country to the U.K.
But not the idea of leaving family and friends etc. Also I am not at the age of retirement so I would have to pick up work abroad which is also worrying!
What are people’s thoughts on moving abroad, would you do it?
Yes I have done so. I have lived in Israel for a short time and Curacao in the Netherlands Antilles. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. You have to be a little brave to leave family and friends, but you soon make ex-pat mates.
Either start a business (I did that) pick up a contract (I did that too). Anything goes when you are overseas. The possibilities are endless!!!
Good luck. Just do it or you never will...
Hello Ceeber’s, sounds like you had a very good experience whilst abroad! Thank you for your response it is definitely a motivation, but still lots of factors to consider. Who knows what the future will bring!
I've had the idea about moving to Texas but I need to do everything correctly so it works out. The U.K. is lovely country but London, the one city everyone wants to live in is just too hostile nowadays.
Another teen today perished because he was stabbed while trying to defend a girl near a KFC. But what does everyone care and talk about? Brexit. The violence is out of control in London.
When I was 21 moved to UK by myself , 7 years ago moved to NZ for a year then back to UK , I would love to Move out of UK but we have too good paid jobs in here to go unless we get the same money somewhere else like my home land or USA
No I wouldn’t move abroad unless my children lived in the same country. My SIL moved to Portugal a couple of years ago and I do envy her in our winter but her summer is too hot. To earn a little cash she does cleaning which surprised me after being a teacher in the UK.
I dont think i would move abroad, although 5 years ago i moved to scotland from the south of england and i definitely wouldnt move back... it took a huge adaptation but was well worth it..
