A house fire caused by a childs toy

In the News

This accident is a dire warning that something as harmless as a childs mirror could cause a house fire

Left in the living room window the sunlight reflected from it onto the UPVC window frame causing the room to fill with smoke

If she had not been at home at the time the house could have burned down

I have seen this type of thing happen with a magnifying glass before but not a mirror

I had no idea a mirror could cause a house fire indoors. My bedroom mirror is opposite the UPVC window frame for years and but now I shall be blocking it slightly. Thanks for this fire prevention advice, telmel.

Her daughter's name is India? Is there someone named Canada, Japan, Australia, or Spain? 😆

That's scary. Thankfully we've never really had mirrors around. I'm thinking of moving the one I have now

I wonder if Fen shui was trying to tell us something

Mirrors are said to reflect and enhance energy according to Feng Shui principles. However, when a mirror is broken or cracked, its reflecting characteristics are changed, and the energy it generates may be shattered. This might create unbalanced and negative energy in the living area
