Has anyone had an issue with MyHermes recently? I posted a parcel with them on the 23rd and it still hasn’t arrived at its destination. The tracking keeps saying ”sorry it’s delayed, we’ll get it moving soon” over and over again..

It seems others have had problems with this company. I for one had a parcel started out up North to come to me down south, tracked its progress but when it was near to my address it went astray and next thing it was back up north!
How long have you been waiting for a reply? I emailed a couple of days ago but haven’t heard anything

I usually do as well, but there were posts before Christmas saying that Royal Mail were so backlogged and struggling so I didn’t want to add to that last time I posted a parcel with Royal Mail to the same place and it got lost
I always have issues with hermes! The guy never delivers when he says he tried. I was home all day and he put in an hour early that he tried lol
Me too . Never a problem with any delivery company (so far touch wood !) . Maybe as its a nice leafy semi detached area of town with easily accessible back gardens ? In fact I prefer the new delivery regime . They all just leave parcels in the garage or by the back door if I'm at work . So no redeliveries or going to the local depot for missed deliveries .
I can understand how it must be difficult for folks who live in flats in some areas where a parcel left by the door wouldn't stay there for 5 minutes before getting filched .
We had some problems a short while ago. Ordered from amazon, we kept getting emails saying it would be with us by 10pm - night after night - eventually we contacted amazon via 'chat' as we couldn't get through to hermes. Cancelled the order and got our money back.
Worst company I ordered some trainers paid for next delivery they never came can't getting in touch with them it took 4 days to get it I got in touch with the company I ordered with and got my money back for the next day charge
I had an issue last summer when a £200 set of Lego mysteriously disappeared.
Strangely, when I started a claim for compensation they quickly found it.
How do you prove what was in the box to claim compensation? this was christmas presents (not intended to get there in time, but our plans changed due to lockdown ) so it was a variety of items..
SarahBenne67061 When I sent it I believe I had to enter the parcel contents.
I also (wisely as it turns out) took out extra insurance on the parcel so I was covered.
While I was out this week, Hermes delivered my package and sent me an email to confirm it. With it, they sent me a picture of a blurry dark mass that I assumed to be a thumb over the camera lens. And they also left it on my front porch despite there being someone home at the time! Absolutely rubbish.
Hermes are Not the best no. But if you want to send in future try parcel2go website. They might give you competitive rates. They compare couriers etc
I have not had any good experiences with Hermes unfortunately. Every time I buy something and I get confirmation from the seller that they use Hermes to deliver I cringe. For me they are like the Bermuda triangle.....majority of parcels get lost.
Don’t get me started on Hermes!! I don’t actually think Iv ever heard a good thing about them. The amount of trouble I have had with them is unreal
possy RegularComper90 Golfforall Hermes .... a strange one ... at our remote place in Cumbria ... and now here in Scotland, the local delivery people (we now know by name) ...are phenomenal .... BUT the deliveries we have had via Hermes' other system eg a Shark vac from Amazon .... a nightmare with misdirections and loss .... so I think it depends on the Hermes arm delivering ... is it Hermes Logistics or something similar that does larger stuff?????? ...not sure..... but the local delivery even leave their mobile for contact and have come back same day if I missed them and texted!
MyHermes may be slightly slower but I have more problems with Royal Mail, I have tracked a parcel from Boots which has been with their delivery centre since Nov, plus lots of parcels either took over 10 days or still haven't arrived.
We don’t use them anymore. Last year, something we bought online went astray, and they were less than useful. Avoid
Not recently, but I don't like Hermes. Last year I ordered something from the outdoor clothing and equipment store Blacks. Hermes were used to deliver the package and they ended up being a bit of a nightmare. Consequently, I won't be ordering from the Blacks website again, but will still purchase in-store.
I’ve got a 2 parcels I’ve sent now in the last couple of weeks go missing and 1 I was due to receive. I emailed them to ask for compensation for the parcel I posted on 23rd December, for them to tell me to contact the retailer..... helpful when I am the “retailer” - I replied and haven’t heard back since
Update on my parcel, it’s been delivered back to me today! No explanation, but the package has had the tape sliced open all the items are still in there though, they obviously decided it wasn’t worth stealing!
