The National Theatre are showing one of their productions each week. recorded in front of an audience. I've already watched part of the first one and look forward to watching it in full later. There is in front of curtain entertainment, during scene changes, and the quality is brilliant.
If you've got a smart TV (with YouTube) you can watch it there. National Theatre is found just by tapping in NATIONAL
Watching on computer just click below.
It's a great idea during the current circumstances. Andrew Lloyd Webber is doing something similar by making his musicals available, online, for free. I think Circque du Soleil also had an accessible 60 minute performance on Friday. Hope others sites do the same.
This one is 2hour 40 minutes long so a night's good entertainment. I only watched the first few minutes, and found it really entertaining. I did skip through and apart from the skippable advert at the beginning I couldn't see any others. Except for a small appeal for the National Theatre during the intermission.

They will be showing a different work every Friday and it will be available for 48 hours. The first one (which has now expired) was Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The next one on Friday 10th April will be Jesus Christ Superstar.
ACR Thanks for that - It's worth mentioning that the Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals become available on Friday AFTERNOON and expire on Sunday AFTERNOON. (not too sure of times it might be very early evening) There are many disappointed people who had planned on watching tonight (Sunday) who didn't realise that Friday's would no longer be available.
You can set a reminder for the one starting Friday 10th April by clicking below (I'm not sure if you need a YouTube channel or not to be able to set a reminder) https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdmPjhKMaXNNeCr1FjuMvag
From what I have seen it is brilliant I hope you find time to watch it - and you'll let others know what you thought of it.
Not seen it yet but looking forward to checking it out. I love the theatre and to be able to have it in my own house is brilliant.
