I Need Help with Baby Wipes Warmer

Money Saving

My newly born baby girl doesnt like cold wipes and cries a lot, I am looking for wipes warmer but not sure which one is good and dont want to waste money on wrong one as they are too expensive.

Please recommend me some or if you know how to warm at home for free.

What do you think of this?

I would have thought you might be able to use a rubber hot water bottle filled with hot water and place your wipes on top to warm up. Iโ€™ve not tried it - just an idea.

My sister has reusable washable wipes which she warms by putting under warm tap water. Not sure that answers your question exactly but it's a way to have warm wipes.

Is a reusable wipe just an ordinary face flannel?

Auntielettie you can buy reusable wipes that are specially designed for use as baby wipes but a flannel would work just as well

I just warm them in my hands before I use them. You could try using cotton wool and warm water. You could also use a hairdryer on them for a few secs or if the heating is on put them on the radiator for a few secs, just watch they don't dry out. Tbh I found it didn't matter what temp the wipes or cotton wool were, he would cry when getting his bum done till he got used to it.

She will get used to the cold wipe eventually and it won't do her any harm and of she cries then it's an excuse for cuddles after. Plus saves you some money. Also wipe warmers have been known to be a fire hazard so if you do get one then be careful.

I'm being totally serious....I used to put the flannel snuggled next to my body ....normally just under ma large Bridget Jones at the gusset or down my bra ..Didnt have baby wipes ..for cleaning neather regions ...it was loads of cut up old towels.

Gawd I sound like ma granny!

I found huggies wipes hold less moisture and appear to hold less of a chill. The cheaper supermarket ones seem to be coldest i think.

Alternatively, buy the softer baby flannels and use those for general changing at home.

Hi, when my son was little I used cotton wool and warmed up cooled boiled water and then moved onto Huggies Pure wipes (they are not as cold) and then any fragrance free wipes that were on offer. I hope she will get used to them soon x Congratulations on your baby girl ๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿฆ‹
