A New Kitchen - DIY Kitchens
Ask a Question
I'm looking at a new kitchen as part of renovation works.
I want an orange kitchen, strange I know. Well the colour I have in mind is more a cream base units and a splash of terracotta wall units. I don't like all these pale neutral colours and the dark blue and grey that everyone has.
The problem is finding this. I know DIY kitchens have a colour painting service so we could have a specific colour. Has anyone used these or has any suggestions of places that offer similar service where you aren't stuck to brochure colours.
Have you considered just revamping your existing kitchen with a bit of orange paint? I'm sure I saw an article on here about a bloke who did up his own kitchen. It didn't look particularly hard and certainly a lot cheaper.
It's part of a major renovation and extension work and the wall will be knocked down where the kitchen is and I would definitely not revamp the existing 70's kitchen. It's awful and beyond help!!!
rararachel Oh right! Just think; if you leave it long enough, it'll become fashionable again - 'shabby chic'.
Dennab I wish! I can't wait to get decent appliances. Our oven takes a minimum of an hour to cook everything, even frozen chicken nuggets.....
