No More Mr Potato Head

So bored of this now it’s been around for 70 years I hate times today stop changing things. What am surprised at mind that mr brains haven’t been renamed yet

I used to have a mr potato head. In my twenties . Then Mrs potato came along. Cool. Neither up. Neither down. And if that’s the way they want to play it fine. Am over it.

People complaining about this, worth considering how is this negatively effecting you or anything at all? It’s not doing any harm, it‘s merely being more inclusive. The over sensitive ones are those that have an issue with this.

I very much doubt anyone is actually complaining about it

There is a Mr and a Mrs.. what is so wrong with that? These companies seem to worry and the media hype up such little stories to make out people are offended by these things when i don’t think that’s the case

Luckily he is already a nice light brown colour a mid point between the varying skin pigments of people so no problem there. No doubt if he was white they would have had to change that also.

I never every wanted a Mr Potato head as a child it just looks utterly boring on every level. Kids are so lucky nowadays with amazing video games. When I was a kid Action men with rubber hands was an innovation as they could hold guns and grenades but after a short while the fingers would fall off and they could hold nothing basically. There are many great things about the past but I have to say most toys were pure rubbish compared to todays. My favourite past toy was Meccano as you could build some decent stuff with it, put Lego to shame. I remember building a torch bracket out of meccano so I could use the torch on my bike.

It's a piece of plastic at the end of the day that will probably end up in a charity shop or a landfill when it could live for the next 1000 years before it completely breaks down.

I don’t get all this silly ness.

We are all human. Except everyone who they are.

But don’t force things like this.

If you want to produce a man character surely you can.

If you want to produce a girl character surely you can.

If you want to do a gender neutral character surely you can.

People need to accept each other and all this stuff and dividing and making different communities are just making things worse in my opinion.

Yes things need to change. People need to accept everyone.

I don’t care who you are as long as you’re a nice person.

I feel like people keep all this going because they want to stay separate in their Community.

Let’s all get on and be humans.

To be honest I think most of the time there is no real intention to change anything. This whole fuss was just clever marketing. Lots of people getting needlessly angry and even more important - lots of people in the media talking about how angry people are. End result - everyone is talking about Mr Potato Head. The company revert to a more sensible position, and they have had a week of free publicity that they couldn't otherwise afford. Then a few days time there will be something else for everyone to get angry about and we can all forget Mr Potato Head again.
