Not Scary Movie For Young Kids?
Ask a Question
Do you have any suggestions for Halloween movies for children age 4 and 6 don't want to scare them while still getting in Halloween mood
My first thought was Monster House but I think it may be too scary for a 4 or 6 year old. How about Casper the friendly ghost? Or Scooby Doo?
Glitterandgold Scooby doo is a really good idea. They made a scooby doo movie especially for Halloween this year
One of the best things about kids you get to watch that stuff again when my eldest stopped watching cartoons
I missed them but now I get to watch again with younger ones Glitterandgold
Glitterandgold It's lovely he still loves scooby doo. It is one of my favourite cartoons. It holds a special place in my heart because it was something me and my childhood best friend were obsessed with when we were little. There are a lot of great memories linked to our love for the show
Imnotcheap Yes I can relate to that, My sons are adults now but I did enjoy watching alot of kids shows with them when they were little. Nickelodeon channel was on 24/7 for many years .
Moonstone22 Ah that's lovely. Scooby brings fond memories for my OH too. Have you watched the new Scoob film? We haven't yet.
Glitterandgold Yes! Scooby Doo! Definitely a brilliant idea. It will need to be made very well though!
We watched it the other week it's good
My daughter was obsessed with scooby doo and lightning McQueen I was gutted when she grew out of it and I missed the cars sequels she now watches stuff like that with little brothers I've noticed often her idea @Glitterandgold
It is it has Mathew Lillard in as shaggy the best new ones usually do just shows how good he was in the live action ones TinaKaur94941
Imnotcheap Ah fab. We have alot of free time from work coming up in December so likely we'll get around to watching it then.
The live action movie of "Casper" was honestly really good. Never did find it scary, moreso about a scared ghost wanting to be friends with humans.
What about Monster Inc? But saying that you can never tell with kids as my niece was frightened by watching Trolls
beccatavender yes I agree, all children find different things scary. Monsters inc was a scary one I agree-
My babysitters a vampire, liar liar vampire, Halloween is Grinch night, it's the great pumpkin Charlie brown
Imnotcheap There are a lot more on the Disney channel, they do special Halloween movies every year or so
Imnotcheap There is a Halloween movie called the adventures of ichabod and Mr toad. It's an animated Halloween movie and would be great for kids. I'm not sure if it is on amazon
Theres Monsters Inc, Wallace and gromit curse of the were rabbit, halloweentown, the haunted mansion and like others have said there’s scooby Doo. Probably best to show them the trailer first and see what they think.
Casper is a nice movie, especially for younger kids.Nightmare before christmas....,Flubber,not really a Halloween movie but really funny x
Is that the newest cartoon one? We seen that at cinema not impressed used to love it growing up
Coraline my daughter likes it, when she was younger the end bit scared her a little. I recently watched it and I found it horrible people with buttons for eyes having tongues removed, its horrific!!!
The new animated version of The Addams Family is not scary at all. Also, you could watch the new version of The Witches.
Halloween is about the Day of the Dead, so it encompasses the dead and such.
You could go with "Ghostbusters," even the second film was pretty good, too. The 2016 was just garbage (the comedy style is something a 9 year old would find funny).
"Warm Bodies" is a zombie movie, not really scary, it's more about romance.
Btw, "Scoob" looks like a lot of fun. I'm planning on watching it some time.
The Goosebumps films are a little bit scary, but not too bad.
If you have sky I believe you can download and watch the 1st one for free at the moment.
