My first thought was Monster House but I think it may be too scary for a 4 or 6 year old. How about Casper the friendly ghost? Or Scooby Doo?

Glitterandgold It's lovely he still loves scooby doo. It is one of my favourite cartoons. It holds a special place in my heart because it was something me and my childhood best friend were obsessed with when we were little. There are a lot of great memories linked to our love for the show

Imnotcheap Yes I can relate to that, My sons are adults now but I did enjoy watching alot of kids shows with them when they were little. Nickelodeon channel was on 24/7 for many years 😂.

Moonstone22 Ah that's lovely. Scooby brings fond memories for my OH too. Have you watched the new Scoob film? We haven't yet.

The live action movie of "Casper" was honestly really good. Never did find it scary, moreso about a scared ghost wanting to be friends with humans.

The new animated version of The Addams Family is not scary at all. Also, you could watch the new version of The Witches.

Halloween is about the Day of the Dead, so it encompasses the dead and such.

You could go with "Ghostbusters," even the second film was pretty good, too. The 2016 was just garbage (the comedy style is something a 9 year old would find funny).

"Warm Bodies" is a zombie movie, not really scary, it's more about romance.

Btw, "Scoob" looks like a lot of fun. I'm planning on watching it some time.

The Goosebumps films are a little bit scary, but not too bad.

If you have sky I believe you can download and watch the 1st one for free at the moment.
