Ive got a few associares ,friends family n ex work mates who are terrified of having blood taken .. is anyone on here scared ? Can i ask why ? Does it stop u giving blood . I would love to donate but my illnesses n meds prevent me
Not scared at all, it could save your life having the tests. I used to feel squeamish when I was younger but doesn't faze me now.
I am not scared of them but they are not pleasant and I don't look at the needle going in. I do donate blood tho cos I might need someone to do that one day for me
I feel really faint and sick when I see blood. That's why i hate having blood tests, but wouldn't say I'm scared of it. I have regular blood tests so getting use to it.
I hate needles....does not matter what form they come from. I feel like the pain caused by them is 20 out of 10....and they can not find my veins, so always take hours to get there....
Feel for you, my youngest daughter was in hospital recently and they couldn't find her veins to get a drip in, It was very traumatizing for her but luckily she is only 3 so hopefully won't remember.
I have to have monthly blood tests and have done for years but I am still terrified of needles and faint every time
My husband doesn't like getting bloods taken as he isn't a fan of needles. I had to get my blood taken every 2 weeks when I was pregnant so it no longer phases me.
Some of you may remember my post about the flu jab a week or two ago. Well it blinking hurt lol. But it was so quick and has not put me off even though it was sore and bruised for 3 days. Hope it works as I was in a car with someone with flu today.
I have regular blood tests and don't really feel them, no problem for me.
I used to hate needles but after having diabetes with my first child. Needles became my best friend. Not painful, just u pleasant experienc.
Only get results next week thanks . The nurse was gentle n made me relax as usual bu being talkative . Lets hope the thyroxin doesnt need upping
