Who's to blame for COVID Spike: Old or Young?

Lots of people are blaming young people for the covid spike but quite a few old people are refusing to wear masks and take it seriously
Do you just blame the young or all the stupid
I blame every idiot that took advantage of the eat out help out I knew and mentioned previously watch number rise after this.
I won't play the blame game but I doubt very much the old folk not wearing masks go out in large groups boozing and partying and living as if covid does not exist. They are usually isolated and many probably have difficulty breathing with a mask on.
I have a nasal problem, nose is constantly blocked and wearing a mask causes me enormous stress, I get over heated and it is obvious I am not taking in enough oxygen. I could probably get exempted if I gave my doctor a sob story but I put up with it, keeping shopping trips to a minimum.
Lynibis The rule is "face covering " which can be a visor , mask or even a scarf . The idea is to protect others not the wearer .
Golfforall yes I realise that and it is why I continue to wear it whenever I am in company. However no one seems to have a care for my protection as the drivers I work with keep taking their masks off, the carers I help don't wear one, and the staff at the contact centre never wear any PPE whatsoever. Considering I am in the at risk group I find it quite disheartening that no one gives a fig.
Younger people are less likely to die from Covid, so are more willing to take the risk and leave the house without wearing a mask.Most old people I see are wearing them.
Younger people are less likely to die true, but more likely to catch and spread it . But more than ever young people are living in the family home for longer (even into their late 20s and 30s ) so will be bringing a nice present home for Mum and Dad and their circle of friends .
Its both the young, the old and people in between who dont care less. Their faces will be on tv tonight moaning that the pubs are having to close an hour early !
I think it is a minority of ALL ages that are not taking the situation seriously. It is unhelpful to apportion blame to a particular age group. Selfishness comes in all ages!
To be honest I don’t think you can blame a generation. The people to blame are all those that don’t take it seriously, taking silly risks and not thinking about the consequences!
Please don’t try to blame the young or elderly for the spread of COVID-19. Its a virus and we’re all susceptible. Just take as many precautions as possible and stop pointing the finger!
Everyone not following the guidelines. But largely the government for their poor handling and response.
I think it's anyone not being considerate. There was so many people standing directly behind me in shops that I had to tell to move back. And I saw a pub that put all the seating areas on the pavement and people had to walk through the people seated at tables to pass by and I had to walk in the road to stay safe
Everyone.. it really annoys me when older people start saying “its all the young ones!”, when the cafes and restaurants are full of older people all day, its not one age group responsible in my opinion, they’ve said on the news “it’s all the young ones fault” and “there’s a spike in all age groups”.... 
I quite agree Ann1984...we can't put the blame on a certain generation. Our family have absolutely done everything we can to do our best to keep this invisible killer at bay....you nip to the local shop for say a loaf of bread and hey presto as if by magic the guy behind the till ..his mask has disappeared so then that's what i have done..disappeared.i would rather do without..not have that slice of toast or that milk in my coffee..some might find that a bit extreme but after all if other individuals did the same then maybe we could say ...yes i did my best..so many people not following guidelines..think of your loved ones before you think what the heck x
