Whats everyone opinion on the new store One Below?
I personally love it and think they have better options and more brands than poundland.
Been around for a couple of years now round here, it's one of those I go in, walk round and walk out not buying anything. Might differ in other regions but not great here
OneBelow is a company founded by the founders of PoundWorld a few months after PoundWorld had gone into administration, they used many of the same shops and the same colour scheme, so many might not have noticed the change. 
I suppose it saved a lot of paint.
davidstockport Correct! We have had one open up near us, same place poundworld was, similar layout, similar products. It's basically the same shop under a new name.
Glitterandgold I wonder if their creditors were paid off? Never ceases to amaze me how companies can go bust and open up later under a new name!
Lynibis I believe that although the founders of Poundworld (the Edwards) had sold a major stake in the company they continued to manage the company.

davidstockport Hmm. I don't know. I tend to hang around pound shops, so I think I would notice this, but then again poundworld closed and another pound shop opened up straight away and I haven't bothered to look up at the sign. Maybe it is one below. That sounds like a layer from Dante's inferno 
ShellyAnn I didn't notice straight away - the main difference is that they also have things that are UNDER a pound now, which in some ways is better because when Poundworld they had to charge more than the proper price on things that should have been under a pound.
I have noticed that they don't appear to have the same staff and know that the Poundworld staff didn't appear to be aware of what was obviously planned. I spoke to one who was extremely worried about losing her job, during the closing down sale.
I’ve yet to visit one, as they're far from me, and the one time I spotted one it was shut, so I was gutted. Have wanted to visit one since they opened

And prefer one to the other. Think poundworld has gone right down near me
"Think poundworld has gone right down near me" There are no PoundWorlds now - they all closed down in 2018, many of the shops that were PoundWorld are now OneBelow. As said earlier many might not have noticed.
I also think there was (and still is) much confusion between PoundLand and PoundWorld.
There are two PoundLANDS near where I am. But what was PoundWORLD is now OneBelow,
