I like the marzipan bit as much as the cake. We eat Christmas cake with cheese in Yorkshire

I love Christmas cake. My Nana used to make them all the time and she would make her own marzipan and leave the offcuts for when I would visit.
The smell in the house when she was baking them was to die for.
