One Drink and Im Gone
Ask a Question
I must be getting old. I have one can of lager and feel very tired. Does anyone get like this so quick?
The last drink I had was at friends wedding nearly two years ago and that was only because she paid for it. I was sleepy after half a glass of prosecco. I was never a big drinker when I was younger and don't do it at all now. I don't like the taste, so don't see the point in drinking.
Good for you. I've always thought the term 'an acquired taste' should be AKA things you drink again and again and tolerate but you're not keen on. There are times when a pure fruit cocktail is all I need.
I can't drink during the day and it's been a standing joke for years that I should have been a vampire - it makes me so tired. I do enjoy a social drink......... when darkness falls....... and I am told that I am funny and harmless when I am squiffed! Nothing worse than a nasty drinker. Can I drink what I did when I was 20? Nooooooo! Would I want to? Absolutely not
I think it depends on the drink, cider gives me a headache, i can drink quite a bit of gin and prosecco but half a bottle of wine and im tipsy
This depends very much per person. I know a guy who drinks alcohol as if it's water and he's stable as a table, and so are his two sons too.
Me? After 6 or 7 beer bottles it might start to take effect but I prefer to avoid it and only drink during special occasions.
You know, when you drink alcohol even just slightly doesn't make you tired but euphoric and removes fear from people when they're in that condition. And if driving, what's near or somewhat far, then looks really far away.
Generally dislike wines and spirits but I have a strange addiction to sniffing baileys even though I'm not bothered about drinking the stuff, it just smells divine though. I like cider and shandy mainly. 17p bottle of diet lemonade and some cheap cans of lager or bitter (typically 4 440ml cans for a £1) and I'm happy to make my own shandy. I'm a big chap anyway of about 6'2" and its rare that I drink anything on an empty stomach so its unlikely I feel tipsy but there was one time in my life where I drank a huge amount of alcohol and then attempted to cycle home, I lasted a short while before I had to start walking and the rest of that walk I can't really remember but I got home somehow. I think, people were surprised I was still standing at the time let alone attempting to cycle home so assume I at least had reasonable capacity to drink alcohol in the past.
