How Much Do You Pay for Your Phone Contract?

Ask a Question

I can’t believe the price difference in different phone contracts - i always buy my handset separately and pay for a SIM only contract. I just changed mine today to Sky, where I will be paying £6 a month for 3GB data and unlimited texts and calls. Whereas my partner thinks £50 for a phone contract is perfectly normal 🤔

Currently I am with BT mobile and pay £10 per month for 10GB with unlimited calls & texts sim only deal. £50 seems a lot but I suppose if your phone is included in that price also it not , as some of the newest phones are so expensive to buy.

No, anyone can take out a sky mobile contract, I only heard about them doing mobile when I was on the phone to them sorting out my broadband but you don’t have to have both

I bought my phone outright and have a £8 a month sim only deal with iD mobile which gives me 4gb data, unlimited texts and unlimited calls, plus it’s 30-day contract so I can leave anytime and am not tied to a contract

A lot of people can't afford to buy outright. In the past, we have bought a good band new handset deal on an interest free credit card and paid the instalments over 23 months interest free period and got a Sim Only deal for the data. Worked out cheaper but not everyone can do that I guess. Depends if you are a high data user and want to upgrade to a new phone all the time which some people do.

I buy my phones separately from a contract, which works for me.

I currently pay £5.40 a month with Sky Mobile.

I just do payg and put credit on my phone. I don't use it much for calls and try to use wifi where possible when out to browse the web etc. I did lose some credit once as I forgot to use any of it at all within six months which I guess shows how little credit I get through. It was only about £1 of credit though. The credit is mainly for emergency calls. I've probably spent no more than £10 on phone credit in the last 2 years. I also use a '3' sim that gives 50MB of data free a month . I have a dual sim phone so have 100MB free a month without a contract. I can get by on that as mainly use wifi.

I do think that you get what you pay for, like my partners phone is £12 a month cheaper than mine, but he does have an Android not iPhone!! 😂 ;-)

I’m with LEBARA paying £5 for 2GB unlimited texts and calls, and 100 international (limited countries) minutes. I don’t get to use the last but at all. But I still pave a PAYG Asda sim from years ago, which still works, even with most of the £5 I initially topped it up with to get a deal (can’t remember what deal as it was so long ago) 😂

I use Voxi, I pay £15 for 20GB of data, unlimited calls/texts. However until June or so, these 20GB of data were actually unlimited.

Still remains being the best offer as they do vouchers for movies and all.

Voxi runs on Vodafone so it has excellent coverage and service tbh.
