Do People Still Buy Newspapers?
Ask a Question
With loads more online resources these days, I can imagine most people will just check the news online, and newspapers are no longer a breakfast staple
do still buy the papers? If so, which ones and why?
I only really buy a newspaper if I have a 2 hour+ train journey. Otherwise, I'll sometimes grab one at Waitrose, for free, when I spend over £10. But, I do get the free Metro and Evening Standard newspapers during the week.
Same here. The freebie papers cover most of the news, and if I really do want a paper for something, like a voucher or deal, I’ll try to get it for free too
By the same token: Do people still watch live TV?
And the answer is yes, some still do. I don't understand how they can watch so much junk and be okay with it.
Oh, yes. The other day a journalist on TV said Epstein committed suicide.. and then they (it was a she, but "they" as a whole group) wonder why they get called "fake news".
I rarely buy a newspaper and only get them free in Waitrose which is a nice perk. I intend shopping in Waitrose this morning so will get a Sunday Telegraph for my husband to read while I watch Strictly this evening.
