Philadelphia Soft Cheese -How Do You Eat Yours?
Ask a Question
I'm enjoying the garlic and herb flavour at the moment. This is fantastic just stirred into spaghetti I think.
I enjoy the plain one on cream crackers
How do you enjoy Philadelphia cheese whether it's plain or flavoured ?
I have lately been using it mixed with cooked diced potato, grated mature cheese, parmesan and lightly fried onions and using it to make pasties, pies, or sausage rolls without the sausage lol.
I mostly use it in sandwiches, but I also use it with pasta, on crackers and sometimes as a dip with breadsticks.
Iβve not had it for many years. When I did, I enjoyed it spread on toast or crackers. I think I prefer other cheeses more
I use the plain one in many recipes. Sandwich with smoked salmon, soups to add flavour, topping in cupcakes without icing sugar.
Philly as a cupcake topping? You're so inventive! Sounds good and has gone straight to the top of my must-try list.
Love the flavoured ones on ritz or tuc crackers. Dont buy it much though, i think plain for cheesecakes is the best way though
I stick mine on some cheese oat biscuits. Narlins. Yummy. And add some coleslaw. I do like the sweet chilli one the best
rossruby1977 ooh sounds good. I have some oat biscuits and coleslaw so will give this combination a try!
I occasionally use it ... or a cheaper version ... added milk, to make an easy tasty sauce ...
I used it tonight to make this dish. https://pinchofnom.com/recipes/creamy-lemon-chicken/
First time making it & will probably make again.
My favourite way to enjoy it tho is spread on a bagel with bacon & maple syrup
Glitterandgold looks delicious and very healthy ! Cant ask for more than that! Thanks for sharing.
jwhitaker537 I never knew it was used in a quiche filling. That's a fabulous idea. I'm going to try it over boiled cauliflower this week! Thanks for sharing.
A good cheese for cheesecakes.
My homemade chocolate mint cheesecake
My homemade coffee and walnut cheesecake
RegularComper90 yes most definitely! coffee and walnut sounds delicious. Ive never tried that before! Would like to try your recipe!?
I do occasionally add it to pasta and salad dishes, but my favourite is spreading it on a bagel with honey or mango chutney. I like all the varieties. I've been meaning to try the JalapeΓ±o flavour - which is currently a Β£1 at Tesco with a Clubcard.
All sorts of ways but a family favourite is to make a dip with a little chopped onion, Worcestershire sauce and mayo. Recipe was given me by my American pen friend.
Grannyclock that sounds like a tasty dip. I would never have thought to add Worcester sauce with Philadelphia and onion. Thanks for sharing
The only meal my 24 year son can make is chicken and bacon with pasta he uses Philadelphia Cheese for the sauce.
