I would say prep the salad the morning of and don’t put any dressing on, take it in a little tub or the bottle.. also dry the lettuce by placing a paper towel on the top or one of the salad spinner things that gets the water off it first... otherwise.. strawberries, sandwiches, sausage rolls, babybells, cupcakes, scotch eggs, fruit salad, yoghurt tubes...

I agree with the first comment about not dressing the salad and taking it separately. I'm doing one too for tomorrow. I'm making pasties because they travel well salad with a bottle of dressing, filled long baguettes that are cut into hand sized portions, a pack of wraps with separate pick'n mix fillings for the children and fresh fruit. I usually prepare a cottage loaf the night before - top cut off, innards carefully taken out, then carefully filled with layers of roasted pepper, cheese, toms, meats or anything you really enjoy and then put the lid back on and cling filmed for the next day. It cuts beautifully into wedges the next day and seems to be enjoyed by everyone.

I'm kind of lazy and usually pick up picnic food from the supermarket on the way there. Sausage rolls, pitta and dips, fruit, little cakes donuts, prepacked sandwiches, 1 litre cartons of juice.

Have a good day and don't forget the suncream!
