Poached Eggs - Do You Have Any Tips for Cooking Them ?

I like poached eggs but I very rarely cook them as they are tricky to get them right. I don't like them if they are under done, when the white isn't completely cooked or if the yolks aren't runny. Seems to be only seconds between the two states. I've bought a poaching pan, I've put vinegar in the water so you have any tips?
