The Price of Bowling
Ask a Question
do you still go bowling? If you do, how much do you pay for each session? I’ve not been for years, but recently I looked up the prices online and it’s about £10 per person per game - yikes! I think I can find other things to do for that price
Hollywood bowl offer
2 adults and 2 kids bowl from £21.79*. 2 adults and 3 kids bowl from £26.79*.
KIDS EAT, DRINK AND BOWL FROM £7.64pp*
Available until 7pm Monday-Friday.
Lol I think all the Hollywood bowls near me shut down due to lack of business, so we only have the likes of all star lanes, which is expensive as it caters for the drinking, partying crowd
hspexy it seems illogical to shut down through lack of business. Surely it is better to have 20 lanes busy at say £4.50 per game than 10 lanes busy at £7 per game. After all, staff still have to be paid, lights and heating etc etc are still being used. The only extra would be the running of the extra lanes.
The same illogicality applies to the empty shops on the high street. Why do councils/landlords have them standing empty because no one can afford the rent/rates? Surely better to halve the cost and see them flourishing, even to give the first three months free is better than standing empty like ghost towns.
Lynibis it’s exactly what they should do. I’ve visited other countries where the government keep entry prices to attractions low so both locals and tourists get to enjoy them, which is what they’re there for. However, for whatever reason, they like to hike up the prices so much here that no one can afford to do anything, and that in turn brings about other problems, which they can never seem to resolve. Such a shame and a waste
I can only go with my kids on a special occasion when I find a voucher. The prices are crazy nowadays so you can't go regularly. And when I bowl time goes so quick too.
Lol you must be good at it then, getting all the strikes? It’s the bad bowlers than can stretch out the time, especially the ones who end up chucking the ball the wrong direction!
I went bowling once not long ago and to be honest it was fun but the price did put me off going again.
It’s a shame it’s so pricy. If it were cheaper, I’m sure people would go more often, as it’s good fun. Just can justify paying that sort of money all the time
I find uk prices very high for bowling, especially when they charge per person and not per game.
