Why The Need to Queue at Primark?
Ask a Question
As you can see Primark has opened back up today and the queues are massive.
Can anyone suggest a legitimate reason to be queuing for hours to get into a primark?
I cant find a reason for people to need to dash to the shop this morning.
I agree, is anyone really that desperate for clothes or any of the other stuff they sell. We are such a consumer driven society but I suppose it will help the economy if people want to spend spend spend.
Exactly what could you actually need from primark? nothing! China showing an increase in deaths and the first day primark is open it looks like ******* christmas, i suppose when 80p flip flops are life then you will have to go
Hadn't seen or heard that about China Getsome . I am ignorant of the science of disease but my brain is telling me that a virus doesn't just disappear. Flu has been around forever and mutates year on year so surely even a vaccine can't guarantee immunity. I think a second wave is inevitable and although usually an optimistic person I am feeling quite pessimistic about all this.
Lynibis Yeah china was showing an increase so went into some sort of lockdown in Beijing. It wont disappear but i believe it can be controlled like the flu but the getting to that stage involves the public being sensible and public and sensible together just doesn't go together.
I would love to go to Primark because we’ve been waiting to buy baby clothes for our pending arrival, but one - I’m not queuing up for hours or getting into contact with that many people for clothes and two - I live in Scotland where they aren’t reopening yet anyway...
There will be loads that would like to go to primark but i hope are being more sensible like yourself.
Lynibis not for Primark prices though I refuse to pay £6 for a newborn tshirt when I could pay £1.50 in primark we’ve also not been able to buy our pushchair or car seat because Boots have put 3/4 of their stock as out of stock on their website since the start of lockdown so you can only get “essentials“
sarahgreen15 maybe they will lift that soon as more stores are opening, they will be left behind in sales figures otherwise.

This is 5 bodysuits for £7.50 which is £1.50 each.
Have you tried looking on fb marketplace for baby clothes! You will often get big bundles from there, with everything you need and they are much cheaper than Primark prices! Same as prams, you get some amazing 2nd hand ones. Or you could look on Asda, they have lots of prams and carseats and some are even on sale at the moment and you can get them delivered to you. Plus they do big packs of bodysuits and sleepsuits and they work out better value than Primark as you get 10 bodysuits for £8.50, whereas primark is £7 for 7.
I knew their would be huge ques for primark so have decided to give it a week or so before going to get a few bits
I know people will want to go shopping in primark as they enjoy it but what do you really need to be queuing for 3 days?
