How Do You Put on Your Bra ?

Ask a Question

A lingerie expert has claimed that many of us are risking the lifespan of our often costly bras by the way in which we are putting them on and that there's only one way you should do it. a back fastening bra, which should be fastened at the back to stop the stretching of the underband. This is in line with the manufacturer's instructions and is designed to help prolong the life of the bra.

I for one can not do this and fasten at the front and twist. How do you do yours ??

My over shoulder boulder holder? Well there is no way I can fasten at back so it's fasten at front and twist it round. I guess front fastening is the answer or the nice pull on ones like a mini crop top.

Lynibis I find pull on ones difficult as they tangle when pulling down - then I'd get so tired and dislocate both shoulders (even though I have decent flexibility) trying to fix it all the way around. They look so much more comfortable though.

I can only do the twist! πŸ˜…. I don’t care, they last long enough for me and I’ll just get a new one when needed. Don’t see it as a problem. Otherwise probably best to buy front fastening if bothered. Am I boverred? Nope. πŸ˜‚

I am exactly like you, fasten at front and twist it around to the back. Not sure when I started doing this but no way can I fasten at the back. I have a few bras, not the most expensive, Marks and Spencer mainly and they seem to last.

I have a rotator cuff injury so all my bras are what my kids call β€˜front loaders’. I have to say that wearing one that does up at the front seems to fit me better too. We are also supposed to ensure that the bra is level- as in the back of the bra should be exactly level with the front !

I fasten at the front and twist. I thought that was what everyone did! I reckon I probably could fasten it at the back but you can't see what you are doing so it would take a good few tries!

I wear multiway bras with straps crossed over to avoid constantly pulling up bra straps. Because of the crossed over straps, I get into the bra by popping it over my head so no choice but to fasten at the back πŸ˜ƒ

I used to fasten my bra at the front and move it around to wear it. As I don't have big boobs I stopped wearing a bra and I feel much better. Image

I do it up behind me find it easier than twisting it around.

sarah4701 Yes, I tried twisting for v short period and it took more effort and longer trying to grab the other end that's hanging behind me, without getting it twisted the wrong way.

I think I'm just very odd, I fasten it before putting it on. And then just put it on like a shirtπŸ˜‚

I do my bra up round my waist then twist into position. I’ve just started using an extra strap attached to the back to stop my straps falling.
