Do You Re-Use Your Hotel Towel or Always Get a New One
Ask a Question
Most hotels ask you to re-use your towels for environmental reasons
Do you recycle or just replace with a new one each day ?
I've always asked for fresh towels daily. That's the only thing I like having is a nice shower after a long day.
I’m happy to re-use my towel as long as it dries out after all at home we don’t have a fresh towel every time we shower or wash our hands.
It depends. If I’m out on the beach all day, my towels will get gritty, so I’d like new ones daily
I would use the same towel for a couple of days and tell them it doesn't need cleaning every day so it take the work load off.same as putting the bin out I would only put out if I had to and not put half a bin load of rubbish out..
On the very rare occasion we actually stay in a hotel I always reuse them. Most places have a sign saying if you want new ones leave them in the bath otherwise they assume you are reusing them. I don't use a new towel everyday at home so don't do it on holiday.
When I worked in a hotel no one would reuse there towels one room didn't want me to clean it till they left and when I went in it was a mess dirt every where they didn't use the bin and there was over 20 wet towels on the floor
I reuse my towels providing they are able to dry between uses. It just seems wasteful to use fresh ones each time.
It is amazing how people will only use a towel once in a hotel and expect it to be washed. I am sure they don’t do this at home. The same goes for sheets, people moan they haven’t been changed after a few days.
Omg! I ALWAYS take my own towels so I don’t have to use the hotel ones, I take my own pillow cases because I have pink hair and don’t want to stain theirs, we ALWAYS strip the beds etc and clean everything, inc scrubbing bath before we leave so they don’t have to do it! …. I thought everyone did this? Maybe not!
Happy to use a towel a few times before getting it washed/using a fresh one just as I would at home
