Who has been made redundant recently ?
What have you been doing in regards to finding a new job ?
My brother in law has just been made redundant, he is 55+ and he is really struggling to find anything !!

I work for boots and am currently on maternity leave, but I’ve been told that all sales assistants are being made redundant, we just don’t know when.. I’m hoping I still get maternity pay because I’ll be screwed otherwise..
Seen a video the other day this woman had lost her job could not find a job she went to a posh area big fancy houses and asked people if they knew anyone hiring and left her cv it actually worked a old couple phoned their son and she got a job at his company
I am so sorry that your brother-in-law is going through redundancy. We know from experience that it is not a good age to be trying to find a new job. Mr Tumblespots had terrible trouble. The sad fact is that the government say you need to work until you are at least 66/67 (this is increasing steadily all the time) but employers are reluctant to employ anyone under 50! Some disparity there....
The one plus point I can offer is that he can have his suit cleaned for free at Timpsons (please follow the link to see the details) https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/freebies/free-drycleaning-unemployed-going-interview-timpson-3425
I wish your brother-in-law well in his search.
It's really sad, there are so many people looking for work at the same time plus it changed everyday which areas are in lockdown
