Did You Regift Any Presents This Year?
Ask a Question
Did anyone have to regift any presents or do you ask for a receipt to exchange them? I never ask I would feel guilty
I don't like to re-gift although i never say to someone if it's a gift i don't like. However i would rather someone told me if they didn't like or want it so i could exchange and get them something they did.
Haven't regifted this year, but I did manage to take a clothing gift back to a shop without a receipt or label! Not sure how I got away with it, but put the credit towards something else.
I did regift some bubbles that my son got as I needed to add to an emergency gift for someone, I will replace it though. I wouldn't think anything of regifting things usually but would only do it if it was a duplicate. I thinks it's less trouble for the person who gave it then telling them I need to exchange it.
I also kind of did the opposite this year too. I have a stash of good value small toys and books that I collect throughout the year for kids birthday parties and I put a couple in my kids stockings at Christmas!
Yes! I see no wrong in it. I got a diary and wall calendar set but it was my 3rd diary and I had already got myself an Outlander wall calendar. It saved me the cost of a gift so it still felt as if the giver had given me something. The recipient seemed well pleased and I think it would have been worse to keep 3 diaries, 2 of which would not be used.
I haven't regifted this year. The only thing that I regift is alcohol as I don't drink, so I normally give it to my mum or kept it for a friends birthday, but I don't tend to get gifts that I don't like or want.
