The Royal Family Have Banned Particular Tv Footage of the Queens Public Funeral
In the News
The Royal family have banned some particular TV footage of the late Queens Public funeral.
Some people are outraged by this because they state it was a public funeral.
I disagree personally and I believe that some close up footage of the bereaved and mourning family should be kept private.
They all played their part and should be able to greave in their own way
I quite agree that some of it should be kept private. They should be allowed to grieve in private. Yes it was a public funeral but that doesn't mean we are entitled to see all of it.
Surely it’s too late to ban certain footage, most people would have seen it by now. I couldn’t face watching it all because it reminded me of my own dead loved ones.
Now they are charging to view the queens grave , a bit distasteful considering the taxpayers paid for the funeral

telmel that won't go down well, the monarchy will be under much more scrutiny now Queen Elizabeth has passed. They really should not be wasting money nor expecting the tax payer to pay for something they've already paid for.
Midnightflower My thoughts too M, you wouldn't mind if it was going to charity instead of towards all the millions they each get already
telmel I thought King Charles had done well announcing his coronation would be slimmed down and it doesn't look like there will be much done for William becoming Prince of Wales, but this will no doubt upset some of their most loyal followers and add fuel to those who oppse the monarchy.
telmel they also Bring a lot of cash into the country through tourism. America would love to have a royal family
jillylovesyou I know J, but i personally think this will diminish with the death of the Queen , especially if they start putting themselves and their wealth above the publics' interest
They are really not doing themselves any favours here
telmel Charging.
They'll get £0 as I have no interest. Now, if it were Princess Diana then maybe.
telmel true, Elizabeth really was an amazing Queen and worthy of such an incredible send off.
jillylovesyou ah but the Americans now have Harry & Megan to follow as they’re constantly seeking publicity
Pjran Megan's best performance as an actress so far has been her marriage with Harry.
telmel Do you mean "Hear Hear" ? There is a big difference.
"Here Here" is what could be an answer to "Does anyone here not know the difference between hear and here?
telmel I think it is absolutely terrible that people are being dragged off the streets and forced to pay to go and see a grave. In my opinion they should be given a choice whether they want to or not.
(Is there an emoji or GIF for sarcasm?)
Life has gone too hard and hasty in routine. The times are changing, probably not many people will be interested whether it remains public or banned.
Only historian may want to keep it in their data base for record.
I totally agree, I think people need to respect their privacy, they lost a family member. I can't imagine how hard it was to have to in essence have 3 funeral services. I know when I lost my Mum it was hard just getting through one.
The cheek of the Royal Family!!! Some of them no names mentioned were brilliant actors and actresses because they knew millions of people were watching it live on Television and outside the Cathedral.
The option should always be available. I disliked the coverage of the children and all the media using lipreaders to try and access conversations that should be private or they would have published it on Facebook or in the case of some - an Oprah interview. Give them a break and remember the whole day will have been recorded by some people. This is simply the small amount that will not be sold on and reused.
I saw this online, I was quite shocked at first but some of it is the general admission fee which is always charged at these type of places.
Furious royal fans have complained at the cost of visiting the Queen's final resting place as Windsor Castle demands mourners pay general admission to see Her Majesty's grave. The Queen has been laid to rest at the King George VI Memorial Chapel in Windsor Castle - alongside her late husband Prince Philip and her parents. But some have hit out at the cost to visit the late monarch's grave, with Windsor Castle charging £28.50 for general admission.
Those wanting to visit the Queen's final resting place are not able to skip past the general admission prices.
Tickets allow entry into the castle and to see inside the memorial chapel where the ledger stone marks the grave.
Furious fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts on the cost, with some branding the Royal Family as "grifters".
The unique royal vault is now open to members of the public, with the first lot of visitors paying their respects on Thursday.
One irate Royal fan took to Twitter and wrote: "The Royal Family are grifters. As of next week you can pay £28.50 to see the Queen's final resting place. Roll up! Roll up!"
Another user joked: "It might not be her final resting place, the attraction could become so lucrative they will take her on tour."
The current price of visiting King George VI Memorial Chapel and the Queen's grave within it is £28.50 for a weekend visit.
But punters hoping to cut costs can wait until a weekday and head into the Chapel for £26.50.
JoTarpley you do get to see the castle as well and those buildings are not cheap to maintain. Without the royal family and castles we would get very few tourists, as let’s face it we don’t get summers like this year very often
I totally agree I think people need to respect their privacy I know it was a public funeral but people should be allowed to grieve on there own not with cameras watching
