Yes there is a Santa-Claus
Other
A BETTER WAY TO EXPLAIN WHO SANTA IS
Son: "Dad, I think I'm old enough now. Is there a Santa Claus?."
Dad: "Ok, I agree that your old enough. But before I tell you, I have a question for you. You see, the “truth” is a dangerous gift. Once you know something, you can't unknow it.
Once you know the truth about Santa Claus, you will never again understand and relate to him as you do now.
So my question is: Are you sure you want to know?"
Brief pause...
Son: "Yes, I want to know"
Dad: "Ok, I'll tell you: Yes there is a Santa Claus"
Son: "Really?"
Dad: Yes, really, but he's not an old man with a beard in a red suit. That's just what we tell kids. You see, kids are too young to understand the true nature of Santa Claus, so we explain it to them in a way that they can understand.
The truth about Santa Claus is that he's not a person at all; he's an idea.
Think of all those presents Santa gave you over the years.
I actually bought those myself.
I watched you open them.
And did it bother me that you didn't thank me?
Of course not!
In fact it gave me great pleasure.
You see, Santa Claus is THE IDEA OF GIVING FOR THE SAKE OF GIVING, without thought of thanks or acknowledgement.
When I saw that woman collapse on the subway last week and called for help, I knew that she'd never know that it was me that summoned the ambulance.
I was being Santa Claus when I did that."
Son: "Oh."
Dad: "So now that you know, you're part of it. You have to be Santa Claus too now. That means you can never tell a young kid the secret, and you have to help us select Santa presents for them, and most important, you have to look for opportunities to help people. Got it?"
Help each other this Christmas and...be kind
It doesn't matter what you tell my youngest who is 9 year old, she absolutely believes in him, kids at school tell her he isn't real, she's not having any of it lol
Ah that's really lovely, thanks everso for posting it. I will show to my grandchildren who are all too old to believe in the man in a red suit.
Ah that's really lovely, thanks everso for posting it. I will show to my grandchildren who are all too old to believe in the man in a red suit. Don't know why it posted twice, wasn't me lol! And I assure you I did not get double points
Lynibis I had posted it but received a message to say it was Removed because it had been posted, but the post was a different one someone had posted about a School teacher telling the person’s Children Santa doesn’t exist, so I don’t know if my original post was removed because I couldn’t find it to change the title
I saw this the other day on Facebook, it’s a lovely story. All I told my children, if you don’t believe in Santa you won’t get any presents, they still believe and they are all over 22!
eyeballkerry I always put the presents under my tree when my Children were little and I was always asked by anyone visiting how they stay under the tree without touching them until Christmas I said well I have always told them that Santa is getting too old to Carry all the Big Presents that seem to be bigger each Year so he sends a message to the parents to ask them to Please put them under the tree and he will visit Christmas Eve with the stocking Fillers and also Cast a Spell on the Big Boxes so if the children Touch the Boxes or even tries to peek inside them then he will know that so he will Not put the Spell on those boxes so they will be Empty Christmas Day, The Children don’t know if I was telling the Truth but they were not going to open the boxes just in case I am telling the truth Even the selection boxes and any Chocolate around the tree was left unopened too because I said everything under the tree is for Santa to Deal with if he finds even a tiny hole in the wrapping paper they will have an empty package
I saw online somewhere where a family who had indoor cameras got someone to dress up as santa so it recorded him putting presents under the tree. They made sure his face wasn’t in view. Apparently they showed the recording to the young kids on Christmas day and of course it absolutely made their Christmas!
suevernon1968 That is such a lovely idea, It Doesn’t hurt to keep the Magic of Santa alive as long as you can it’s nice for them to Believe in something
Yes there is a santa. Just because there isn't an actual fat man in red doesn't mean there isn't. Santa is magic and believing and love.
