Coronavirus cases are increasing. If there is a second lockdown, what do you wish you had done the last time?
For example, buy something in advance?
Good morning Tom good Topic yesterday someone told my son there’s School closed due to some student and teacher get infested OMG in news I read in social gathering only 6 people will b allowed I don’t know it’s truth or not . If this time Lockdown happen I will b stocking face Mask because I am spending quite lot money buying them these days .
To be honest, I don't think that there's anything that I would have done different. I had just about enough time to be prepared before the first lockdown started.
Gazz3 I bought half of Italy's pasta too 
Seriously though, I didn't overdue it, but made sure we had enough of the essentials.
Tesco deliveries got a bit ropey with me only being able to place an order every 3-4 weeks, but Iceland came to the rescue.
(Did you know that Iceland are have just started selling Cider Lollies? Takes me back to the 70s

Snap. Well said. Other than the supermarket food deliveries, or lack of, I was not affected that much. Living in the sticks has a lot of drawbacks. But during Lockdown, I felt I had prepared for this for quite a while. Certainly helped keep me safe.
Any shortfalls in shopping were supplied by the local coffee shop that I helped support in their move to a take-away business. Also, a local restaurant delivered yummy dishes to me when I was struggling with my good orders.
Thankfully, in general, I am a batch cooking kind of person, so I always make sure I have plenty of supplies.

I think we did ok really. The government box and priority slots from asda made it a lot easier.
I was very organised last time. I managed to push my dentist appointment a month forward and got my teeth sorted less than a week before lockdown. I had all the food and toilet rolls I needed because I stocked up in February just in case the virus came here, so when everyone was rushing around trying to find things on the shelves I already had my supply. I went shopping for calligraphy, crystal growing and other creative sets so I always had something to do. The only thing I wish I did before lockdown was go to the zoo
Would have done it all the same. I don't leave the house anyway as I am housebound.
If anything I actually would may have bought more in at the start as the lies of "there isn't a shortage" was rubbish. I am disabled and I ended up running out of things many times as I can't just go out and get stuff so I would have probably hoarded some stuff so I didn't go hungry like before
I'd make sure my mother in law who lives by herself has all essentials covered, without going overboard. She ran out of lots of things last time as I couldn't get a delivery for her for 4 weeks... Luckily her neighbour helped her a bit in the meantime.
Can’t say I’d do anything different. I wish I could get away but it’s not a good time to do so
Great to hear how organised some peeps are! Certainly more than me. Whilst I had stocked up from previous bulk buy bargains on the basics months before (always have way too many shower gels 
) I was caught out when even things like toothpaste ran out. If there is another lockdown, I'm wondering what one could start to do now to prepare. Thanks for the replies!
Booked a holiday before lockdown. I'm a keyworker so didn't get any time off until recently. I don't want to miss out on a break if I can
The freezer in my kitchen is only small. Last time around it took me a while to find a small table-top freezer in stock to keep in the shed. (They'd all sold out). It's been really useful to have a bit of extra freezer space. Although I probably won't keep it in the shed in the winter.
Well well done those that were very organised. I always buy extra so have spare, but was not prepared to find empty shelves so quickly. Eventually ran out of certain things like flour, pasta etc & couldn’t believe how selfish those hoarders were. Anyway, wised up now

ivenailedit The problem is that if it happens again, we're looking at limited items and deliveries every 3-4 weeks.
If I was you, I'd buy 300 bog rolls and 100kg of pasta.
TheChimp ha ha, where on earth to store the stash. Think the worst to get hold of in the end was flour so heading for that first. Bet you’ve already started
I got to shops 2 days before lock down and did 2 shops at tesco, then asda. That was a good idea. I am watching out for when it might lock down again as I really don't have many toilet rolls this time due to builders and tradesmen. I have got plenty of toiletries in bulk already in. I have lots of pasta and rice. I have some tins, but would need some more. I do not have any flour. I will monitoring this and first wind I get of lock down nationwide of my area, I'll be off with my trolley to fill up on tinned goods.
i have avoided even family during lockdown when i went shopping wore a mask and used gels .i cant think what i would do different
