You will need a smartphone with the APP on it:

Q:Why do I need a smartphone with the Amazon Shopping app installed ?

A: This Locker connects to the Amazon Shopping app on your smartphone using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) when you have a package to pick up. Once connected, you simply tap a button on the app to open the locker and pick up your order.

What if I'm blind or visually impaired?

This Locker doesn't have a headphone jack or keypad so the Amazon Shopping app on your smartphone will guide you to the correct location. Once you're close enough, you'll be able to buzz the locker to help you locate it.

For more information I suggest you Google "Amazon delivery to locker"

Imnotcheap I've never done it (I don't have a smartphone) but believe you select it when checking out.

I found this:

  1. Search for a Locker location near you on the Pickup Locations page, by choosing Amazon Locker as your pickup option.
  2. "Select" a Locker location to add it to your Address Book, and next time you add an item to your basket, click "Dispatch to this address" to have it delivered to your favorite Locker.

Use the lockers all the time really easy . Simple, select a locker location near you when you checkout, most Morrison’s stores have them , but many other places also. Amazon deliver to the lockers and email you a barcode and also text you a code. Either scan the barcode at the locker or enter the code on the keypad, for the correct door to open , pick your parcel up and shut the door

Imnotcheap Worth giving that a go then, pretty sure once you've tried using this once you'll like it as its's so convenient to pick your item up from the locker exactly when you want . After delivery I believe it is kept in the locker for 3 days before they take the item back, some lockers are outside so are accessible 24hrs , they are waterproof, alarmed and have CCTV on so no need to rush to pick it up, thou I always pick it up straight away as i want my item.
