What Shop Have You Missed Most & What Will You Do First On 12th April?

In the News

With all the shops re-opening from Monday 12th, what shop have you missed the most and which one will you be going to first? I have already seen people on my Facebook news feed saying that they will be queuing for Primark opening!

Image

The government have also said shops can open for longer so there shouldn't be big crowds. When they reopen from 12 April at the earliest, shops will have the flexibility to open until 10pm Monday to Saturday.

Will you be first in the queue or will you wait a bit?

Mine is a bit rubbish but I can't wait to go the safari park as my boys have asked every day since it closed "can we go today?" so that's mine! 😆

Primark 😂 I always buy flip flops from there as they are so cheap and pretty. I also would like to go to the zoo and sea Life centre. But only if it's safe.. I have a bad feeling about Primark being packed, so I may wait it out.

I haven't missed a specific store, just being able to shop normally. Even when clothes shops open the changing rooms will likely still be closed off. I look forward to being able to visit the cinema, sitting in cafes, pubs, restaurants, etc.

This is an embarrassing admission! I've managed to get most of the things, that I would've missed, delivered 😉 and clothes have been waaaaay down the list so I won't be visiting those shops anytime soon. I do need a serious makeover though!

I've really missed the gym/sauna/swimming and that still won't be fully opened, without some major restrictions, for some time. I'm with your sons on this one - I've missed the wildlife parks and all the open spaces that are not in my area.

I prefer shopping in store to shopping online so I've missed quite a few of the regular shops. I've also missed going to the charity shops in my area. We only have a couple, but I used to donate items and shop there regularly, for items you don't see in the regular shops- older books, unusual household items, etc. I'll be waiting a while before I return to shopping in places like Primark, but I will go to the charity shops when they reopen as I have quite a bit of stuff to donate whenever they start taking donations again.

I think Primark will be hectic for the first week its open again. Last time we came out of a lockdown the primark near me had ques starting from the early hours and was going around the whole shopping centre and people were waiting hours just to get it. They even opened way earlier and stayed opened way later i

Due to weight loss this year I'm in need of some new Summer clothes. I'm looking forward to a day in town browsing & picking up some items. I'll wait until crowds have calmed abit tho.

I have missed the hustle and bustle in general, particularly the type you get in primark and Tk maxx - it won’t be long before we are moaning about how busy things are lol

I can't really say I've missed any shop. I have still been able to get clothes, only when needed, from the supermarkets and anything I couldn't get I got online.

I'm not a massive fan of shopping. I only ever go to Primark when we actually need something, same with all my clothes shopping. I prefer lookin at homewares in places like B&M, but I can do all that online.

The only shop I have missed is Aldi. Not been able to visit due to travel restrictions as its in the next council area over, so I will enjoy going there again but I won't be rushing back.

Jasmine111 thank you 😊. I wasn’t planning on rushing out to the shops straight away but I’m tempted to go to their store now. Do you think they’ll have many bargains left? They seem to have had such a good online sale throughout the various lockdowns.

I have a £100 gift card for Sainsburys that cannot be used online. It was given to me at Christmas so I am itching to go and buy some treats from the actual shop. I quite like their clothes range and homeware items and I could definitely do with a new summer duvet.

Won't be rushing anywhere as I imagine there will be lots of people about initially. Will wait a while and even then avoid busy places.
