Silicon Socks
Ask a Question
Could anyone give any feedback on these please. Daughter gets terrible blisters from her vans the cushion pads keep slipping off back of shoe. Came across these but not sure if worth the money
What model vans is it ? I have a pair and got blister back of heel and top of the foot. I think just a thicker pair of liner socks should do the trick. But sometimes high priced brands aren’t about practical but name and design
I got some , mainly to put on on top of "healthy feet cream" to avoid it quickly rubbing off while sitting down or even in bed . They are very good for that . I've never tried wearing them all the time just to keep the cream in contact with my heels (which get very dry and cracked ) and avoid it rubbing off .
Golfforall so should work then because plasters just keep falling off need something stays inplace
Ann1984 Yes should do I go them for the base of my heel and wear them after I have applied the cream (so it stops the cream rubbing off onto my slippers or bedclothes ). They are supposed to also be good for wearing all the time but I haven't tried them under shoes etc .Now what I can recommend for plasters that won't rub off https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01EAZHGM0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . They stay stuck ! Come in strips I use them on my fingers all the time as all other plasters (including elastoplast ) just slide off after a short time . Also used those plasters on my heels when they were badly cracked and they stayed stuck even on my sweaty feet !
Ann1984 Shame I'm not in Wales , I have a cupboard full bought 8 packs last time as the first lot I got were so good . As they don't slip off I don't use so many , just cut off a half inch wide strip and you have a plaster that stays stuck for a fraction of the price .
Ann do not attempt to walk down stairs in em especiallynot in just a nighty omg the carpet burn on my as a lol @Ann1984
Mctash Yes not exactly stable ! A layer of foot cream , silicon socks and slippers . Not the recommended wear for running up and down stairs !
Golfforall and Ann1984 I'd never heard of them and my first thought was they'd cause/encourage athlete's foot but I just had a look and now I 'get' what they are ... brilliant idea thanks.
BORDERJOE Not sure you could wear them all day (under shoes and socks ) as they tend to slide around on your feet . But for keeping foot/cracked heel cream from rubbing off when in slippers or in bed they are great (and surprisingly comfortable ) .
I only went down golf lmao half way lol omg I said few very choose words to the ceiling as it burnt burnt burnt lol Golfforall
Golfforall thanks for that .... hadn't realised they may slip around a bit .... all useful info!
Personally when I've had blisters off shoes I get a quality thick plaster and put it on inside of shoe problem solved
Ann1984 has she tried heel grips or heel cushions similar to these (other makes are available) https://www.amazon.co.uk/Heel-Grips-Shoes-Too-Big/dp/B077YT2R1Q or https://www.amazon.co.uk/Heel-Cups/b?ie=UTF8&node=2826589031
lilyflower thank you I ordered silicon socks last night came today so she testing them on walk will update you all
Ann1984 If they ride up off her feet maybe try those plaster strips round the back of the back of the heel . Cut an inch or two off the strip and they will stay stuck , even in the bath .
Golfforall yeah am going to try that her gran bought her them for Xmas from jd she has 2 other pair which I bought from eBay copies and them are fine.
Ann1984 Or you could always suggest she wears "sensible shoes " , Skechers are really comfortable straight out of the box . Even their golf shoes .
Ann1984 Wait till she starts wearing high heels ! They are even more uncomfortable ........ errr ..... or so I'm told !
Golfforall she walks with 2 left feet now god help her in heels. In all my life I have never worn a pair. But the answer to the other topic am a size 4
