I use Aliexpress myself a fair bit but it seems to be getting worse and worse sadly. You now pay VAT on all purchases which is fair enough but if like me you go through cashback sites like topcashback, aliexpress sellers can now decline supporting cashback so you get nothing and there is no way of knowing beforehand if they will decline cashback. A recent purchase on aliexpress had the item delivered faulty and on going through aliexpress's dispute process I had to return the item to China at my expense to get a refund which of course would cost more than the item which was only about £10. I have contacted my credit card company for a chargeback and they make this pretty easy to do and hopefully this will work although its the first time I've had to do this with aliexpress.

So quite a few issues with aliexpress now. When topcashback offered their £2 bonus cashback on £5 or £10 purchases I would often use them with aliexpress but unfortunately no point using them now as no cashback means no bonus either. I probably only use aliexpress about a third as much as I used to and can see that reducing again now.

Also the whole aliexpress site is set up in a scam type way, they present a price of lets say £2 on the main screen but go that actual item and that £2 is unavailable, if you select shipping from China etc you get the real price which is very different so finding the best price on aliexpress is very difficult to say the least. If anyone has worked out a method for doing so please tell me.
