Are Slippers Just for Winter?

I recently had to buy a new pair of slippers. With none of the clothing/shoe shops open I bought them from a supermarket (nothing wrong with supermarket slippers just using it as a point of reference). The choice available was minimal and finding my size was like the epic quest for the holy grail. I asked the clothing lady are you getting anymore in? She replied "No it's summer! Nobody wears slippers in the summer only old people!" The ignorance of the youth of today, because of this rude whippersnapper I have found out I'm old and will now use the lingo liberally!
I've never heard of slippers being used only for the winter, it sounds absolutely ridiculous. I wear my slippers in the house all of the time. Shoe zone have some great offers, buy one pair and get a pair free, also free delivery.
Wear my slippers all year, first thing I do when I get in house is take shoes off and put slippers on.
I wear my slippers all year round. I have slipper boots for winter and ballet type slippers for the summer. I absolutely love my slippers! My husband also wears his slippers all year round. What are people wearing on their feet in summer!
I live in my slippers, but I do slop about the garden in flip flops. I cannot walk up the stairs in them if I do I look like a duck my legs don't seem to work right 
I love my slippers ! I wear them throughout the year with no shame and I would consider myself as a 'youth'. That person was probably just ill mannered! Unfortunately, we have to wait until winter hits to get new slippers, if they were sold all year around I think stores would make alot more money!
I have two pairs I wear all year round a novelty pair with smiley faces for everyday use and a ballet pair for when relaxing on sofa with beer some evenings.
I just wear sliders all year round, just with thicker socks in the winter lol! They are comfy 
no slippers are for all year around I love my slipper I rather wear them than sliders .
I normally wear flip flops on summer , at our hone I don’t wear anything as we have soft carpet everywhere and it’s too warm to wear anything , but if at my parents with no carpet I wear flip flops , in the winter I lover slippers lol
I use slippers all year round. I love them as I hate to feel cold in my feet. The shop assistant's comment was rude.
I suppose the cosy slipper options are more for winter, but slippers are year rounder items for me. I wouldn’t wear my shoes indoors, nor would I traipse about bare foot
I don't think slippers are just for winter but they are one of those items that are seasonal as in sold more in the winter, just like pyjamas, worn all year round but appear more in the shops in winter compared to a smaller selection during the summer
I personally class a pair of Uggs as my slippers! They are my default go to in the winter and tend to be barefoot the rest of the time. However I'm afraid to say that I am currently back in the Uggs again due to toe chilliness!!!!
I wear M&S slippers all year (I think the sort I wear would be described as sliders -no heel or toe- correct me if I’m wrong) but my beef is that they have sold the same two colours/patterns for years now and I’m sick of them. I guess us Oldens don’t complain enough!
Never used to wear slippers but converted a couple of years ago. Still wearing them in summer, but less so. Mostly to walking around in and take them off when resting most of the time, whereas in winter I'll keep them on more to stay warm.
Slippers are for any type of weather. They are for comfort and warmth more than anything else.
