What Sound Do You Find Soothing?

I find the sound of rain on the roof soothing. While most people think of rain as a bad thing, it's almost a grantee that I'm going to sleep well if there's the sound of rainfall. For man-made sounds, low-level white noise can be really nice too.

I love the sound of rain, I find it very relaxing. I sometimes put rain sound videos on on youtube at night to relax to when it isn't actually raining.

Weirdly, I find storms quite soothing.I love thunder and the way the heavy rain seems to freshen everything up.

I like the sound of water lapping against the shoreline. As long as the waves aren't too large.

It’s the same for me. Sounds of the sea, preferably in front of the sea breeze also. The rain sounds soothing also

I love the sound of the rain. When I was a baby it rained all summer and it got me off to sleep. It's still the same with me now, I sleep quicker when it's raining

I also love the sound of a storm & heavy rain. I find listening to flute music very calming too.

Don't think I find any sound soothing except maybe silence none shouting me or at others in household

The sound of the sea as well. I grew up in front of the sea. Although during storms it can be quite frightening

Water and the sound of water is biologically soothing as it reminds us of the blood wooshing noises when we are in the womb! so the fact you find waves soothing is a biologically rooted

To be honest I like the sound of silence. Sometimes I am aware I am getting a bit frazzled but as soon as I turn off the radio\tv I get a huge feeling of relief. Most of my daytime indoors is silent until I put the tv on during early evening.

Thunder during a storm is soothing to me. I‘be listened to thunderstorm playlists on Spotify before as a way to help myself to calm down and it works, although I prefer a real storm to just the sound of one.
