I've been at my parents since early afternoon on Christmas eve and will be here till tomorrow morning. My parents are easy to get along with and it feels like a break in a way, as mum has done my sons washing, I haven't had to cook, my dad supplies you with endless cups of tea and they love spending time with their grandson.
Yes I miss my own house and my own space but we only do it once a year so it's important to my parents.
We used to stay at my mil house for a week in the summer when we went to visit but we were out most of the time and we all get on.
We don't need to worry about saving as we already have our own house, but if I had to then I would do it but only for a short amount of time.
I work with my family so spend everyday with them not just the holidays. No getting away from them even if I wanted too
I’m purposely doing my own thing around the house. I do have a two year old glued to my hip but I’m avoiding everyone else. Every year we look forward to our Christmas break, every year we get on each other’s nerves lol
I wish i could but unfortunately my mum works three jobs and does a lot of 12+ hour shifts wish i could do that when im in my late 50's.
