smedleys97 it takes time think has him a toddler they need telling so many times. Another thing people tend to do is play rough with there dogs don’t because when he’s bigger this will not help don’t forget a staffy jaw locks

The kennel club suggest not playing roughly or over exciting your puppy.

If they are biting, turn your back and tuck your hands in your arm sockets, withdrawing your attention.

Shouting at him is a type of attention so doesn’t really work.

Chew toys to distract him worked well with us. We went through many though as he would have them chewed to pieces in no time! The Kong toys are very robust.

Staffys make lovely dogs ❤️

Please don't be offended - for some reason that really made me laugh out loud. (I could picture it).

Incidentally I recall your name from comics about seventy years ago. She was described as "Pansy Potter - The strong man's daughter".

smedleys97 ours chewed his way through my daughters make up bag and (expensive) contents when he was a puppy! I came home to lipstick all over the carpet and dog!! She learned to keep her door shut after that!

smedleys97 such a cute puppy just continue to enforce the word no and push him away when he bites and it will work eventually you could give him a antler chew in a large size as these are good for teething pups and don’t splinter like bones, he will calm down eventually

we had a staffy and what we were taught was to from a young age swap the thing for example if they nip at the hand give them a toy so they begin to associate that behaviour with chewing toys, my dog never really nipped after that but did have an obsession with socks lol

Our staff nipped at 2 (bladdy massive teeth😂) - we rescued him as he had just been left in a kennel and had little interaction. I would give him a little push away and ignore him for a minute soon learnt not to 🙂
