Stupid Panic Buying of the Day - Goldfish Food!?!?
Other
so my lovely boy Rory is nearly out of food. He's my 7 year old goldfish. I said to mum as I don't drive and she is still trying to round up supplies for her and dad, 89 year old grandma and me, to pick up a tub for Rory. she couldn't find any. She had to go to several shops before she managed to find 1 tub. Who is panic buying goldfish food? All the fish food was gone. Are people going to eat fish food? Also compost has restrictions on how many you can buy at Wilko I discovered last night. I'm a gardener and I've never seen this before. No compost at ASDA either. I had to leave behind my 2 full composters at my old house, so I'm trying to get supplies for this year's gardening. Just a heads up if you grow your own veg like I do.
As far as the compost goes, I guess if people are having to isolate then one of the few pleasures they can still enjoy outside is to do some gardening. So you can't really blame them there.
Also, people just want to make sure they have fish food in if this drags on.
The weirdest shortage I've noticed so far is greetings cards!
I have a cat and so far I’ve noticed people are t stock piling that. Wonder if people are just letting them roam? Mines a house cat. He won’t last 2 minutes foraging
If things get worse he won't last two minutes anyway - very soon I expect there to be recipes for "cat" online - it could be worse than the Davy Crocket craze for cats - some might remember, those who don't might not realise that cats make very good Davy Crocket hats. (we don't have wild raccoons in the UK)
