Which Supermarket is the Cheapest?

There are a few items on here which for me aren't everyday essentials. I would buy penne rather than macaroni and I don't buy bourbon biscuits. I knew before watching it that either Aldi or Lidl would come out on top as that is where I shop already.

I couldn't get all I need from Lidl, Aldi or M&S as they are restricted ranges where as Tesco's have a much wider range of goods, have much better half price offers which vary frequently plus you get clubcard points. I have a large Tesco Extra store though which also means it has a wide range of their budget brands which you don't see as much at Tesco Metro stores. I still say Tesco is cheapest if you make sure you keep away from the big brands (unless they are on offer) and just focus on the better value options. I find fruit and veg better quality than Lidl and Aldi at Tesco and lastly a wider range of goods are sourced from the UK in Tesco's so you are supporting more UK firms and UK farmers across England, Scotland and Wales.

I'd also agree that budget shoppers are more likely to be interested in lower cost penne pasta and bourbon biscuits are not a biscuit I would buy personally (not a fan). I'm not sure what is the most popular type of biscuit to compare but it feels to me like it would be something like Rich tea, digestive or maybe custard creams.

Don't think there is anyone supermarket that's cheaper all seem to be around the same price for most items these days.

If you really want the best price you'd need to go to all of them every week. I go to different shops for different things

I found tesco very expensive recently but we only have the express and metro stores near which don't stock much of the value ranges.
