Tesco No Longer Doing Shoes?

Ask a Question

This morning i ran Into our big tesco to find all the children’s shoes off the shelf, the manager said that all tesco are no longer doing kids shoes I’m gutted these were always an affordable option and trust it to happen when my daughter needs new trainers for P.E 😅

I wonder why this is? It’s always very handy and especially with the school selection

possy The decision to stop selling the F&F footwear and accessories was down to “profitability”, and difficulties in making those specific products sustainable, however they will still be selling some back to school shoes and slippers.

pato that’s good to hear. Tesco is my main store closest to me so I use very regularly

possy I believe that Next are selling the F&F brands so you might get the shoes in there but no doubt they'll be overpriced.

They seem to have dropped a few things lately because as well as childrens shoes, I can't get Kerrygold butter, I have noticed other items when going through my favourites in the online shop but can't remember the rest, sorry.

tumblespots It's all part of Project Reset, were Tesco had undertaking a major range rationalisation of brands across its business that'll be why you're favourites are diminishing.

pato I hadn't heard about that but I do notice lots of things missing when trying to do the shopping.

tumblespots I've notice recently that a lot of branded products are disappearing from the Supermarket shelves and replaced by own brand products, I wouldn't normally have an issue with it but the prices are pretty much the same as the brands.

pato I have noticed that too. I thought I would, perhaps, prefer their own brand as I do buy many own brand items already but, no, as you say the prices are much the same. I think it's generally called profiteering! They are clearly trying to push out the actual brands - do you think they know something we don't?!

I will need to have a look in my local store to see if there are any bargains. I wonder why they are no longer doing Kids shoes, they were so affordable. Asda still does affordable kids shoes.

Imnotcheap we are the same. We only have a Beggs shoe shop in the High Street as our shoe zone has gone. Luckily we still have a Sports Direct and our Asda still does kids shoes, hopefully they don't stop too.

Imnotcheap our sports direct isn't great instore. Our Asda is good for kids shoes and can get them ordered there for free click and collect too. I just hope they don't stop doing them.

Oh wow I did not know Tesco was stopping selling shoes. That’s a shame as they were always good value.
