I have just read that of Tesco overcharges you for an item you can go to customer service and if you really were overcharged they will refund you double so in effect you could get the item for free. This is only if it was marked one price on the shelf but scanned at a different higher price. Sounds good as I have been overcharged many times.

I saw that too! From what I remember, some researchers discovered almost a third (or a surpringly large number) of advertised deals in-store were no longer being honoured. The promotions were out of date. So check your receipt and as RosieWaters says, if you go to Customer Service they do Double The Difference.

RosieWaters I had not considered that for a half price offer this'd make it free! Must keep an eye out!
