If you have bought one of the recalled jars, do not feed it to your children.

Instead, you can return it to the store you purchased it from for a full refund.

You don't need the receipt, just take the jar to any Tesco store and you'll get your money back.

If you need more information you can contact Tesco Customer Services directly on 0800 917 6897.

You can contact Cow & Gate via Facebook messenger, or on live chat at www.cgbabyclub.co.uk/contact-us, or by phone on 0800 977 8880.

The withdrawal is a precautionary measure, but if your child has eaten some of the baby food and you are concerned you should contact your GP or a healthcare professional.

Best people do not worry, it could be just something got into the system that shouldn't have, an odd finger or something, a head... you know, something that someones cut off.... might not be malicious.

My husband told me about this yesterday. I don't buy jars of food for my son but it is scary to think your child could become ill because of them. It is the part where it says tampered with which makes me wonder what has happened.

Especially when it is for babies or children, it is better to be on the safe side if anything has been tampered with.
