Thailand Legalises and Promotes Cannabis

In the News

Thailand have just legalised weed .Moreover they will hand out a million cannabis plants to celebrate so doing. Eager households can receive a maximum of six seedlings. This is hoped will boost the country’s medical marijuana market and make the drug a lucrative Thai export. The Health Minister is somewhat optimistically discouraging recreational use, urging people not to sit at home smiling and avoiding getting work done Hmm!

People are already addicted to drugs (pills, injections) sold in pharmacies so I guess it wouldn't make much difference for more to be legalized.

I know I'd not take them, anyway.

I think anyone who criticises the legalisation should compare the impact of alcohol and Cannabis both negative and positive. One is as dangerous as heroine to withdraw from once addicted the other can be used medically for a huge variation of conditions. In my opinion either both should be illegal or both legal.

I have seen a wealth of damage physical , psychological and emotional caused by cannabis dependency .Suffice it to say the TSH levels are hardly on a par with the homegrown plants of the 50/60's.Factor in as well the 'industry' factor that governs and promotes guns, knifes, gangs etc. I judge no one and accept that we all employ different coping mechanisms at times. Alcohol, **** ,Caffeine, Food, Cigarettes,Gaming ,Internet. Whatever the drug of choice it's more about using it rather than letting it use us eh?

I would like to say that jacket should be illegal, but I actually like it. Would love to grow it myself, never like being told what I can or can not do.

It should be legal since alcohol is legal but sadly it won’t be with corrupt dinosaurs in charge . The only thing stopping it the pharmaceutical companies because of the lost revenue and backhanders to the dinosaurs

SilverSurfer I agree, as with any substance it can be abused however the medical benefits of Cannabis are huge, whilst alcohol addiction destroys lives daily and we just accept it even though its addictive and as dangerous to withdraw from as heroine.
