Theatre - Which Seats Are the 'Best' / should I book?
Ask a Question
I have only ever been to the theatre a couple of times, and it has always been booked for me.
The Lion King is coming to Dublin in December/ January and I am hoping to make a day trip for it as a present.
Which seats would you recommend? E.g. stalls? Gods? Circle?
I love the theatre FG280 and go a lot. I saw the Lion King in London, it’s a fantastic show. Generally, the stalls or the front of the circle are the best seats (But also the most expensive!) If you can get the front row of the circle, I would go for them. Don’t get stalls seats too close to the front as you may not be able to see everything.
Thank you gerrykelly25 and tumblespots I totally underestimated how popular it would be, and tickets are now really limited!!
Need to have a good look at dates, as most I looked at only had individual tickets left
Great advice though...thank you both!!
For a show like that I would probably prefer to book front row circle, just so that you get the full effect of what is happening on stage, but beware when booking in case there are any pillars that might affect your view. Look at a seating plan if you can to avoid them. I hope you enjoy the show (I'm sure you will)
I prefer being closer to the stage, especially if it's in a very large theatre. Tickets do cost more, but you can save money if you look for deals before booking.
Stalls are at ground level, Circle are the middle and the Gods are at the top.
I would go for stalls or circle. I always try for an aisle seat, if you need to get up you aren't disturbing anyone. Hope you enjoy the performance.
Personally I'd recommend the stalls, about 6 to 8 rows back from the stage. As I like to be able to both see and hear what's going on.
In this stalls seating plan for example, I'd go for the £50 green seats in Row F (as far into the middle as you can get), which I think are the best value for money.
It all depends on your budget really.
