Do You Think Meal Deals Are Good Value?

Other

i usually take my own food to work, something I can heat up in the microwave, as even the cheapest meal deals at £3 do not seem worth it

do you get the meal deals? or you prefer to take your own lunches?

I much prefer to take my own meals. Not only do they turn out cheaper, but they are also a lot healthier. I was shocked to see the high salt and fat (thus calories) content in supermarket ready made sandwiches.

I find that a lot of the supermarket sandwiches are loaded with mayo, so that's why I chose to make my own.

I find that if I know that the place where I'm working has a microwave I will portion off in tupperware boxes for the whole week so it saves time

I always take my own lunches into work, I couldn’t justify spending £3 every single day! Also as others have mentioned lunches from home are usually healthier, you’d be shocked to find out the calorie content of some of those sandwiches!!

I usually have leftovers from dinner the night before or something out the freezer that I bought reduced 😂

I know what you mean £3 doesn't go as far as it use to, and meal deals nowadays are so low standard it's much better to make your own.

I take my own as I find that it is the easiest way to save money and I can take soups and salads easily enough

I tend to buy when I am out and about, but I buy very little, just a quick snack to tie me over. I used to bring food to work, but I would eat too much

Supper markets sandwhichs are full of rubbish. My friend brought a prawn and mayo sandwhichs and and there were only two prawns in the sandwhichs the rest was full of mayo. She took it back and got her money back. She now takes her own food with her. What she dos and to save time Sunday she gets all her meals ready for the week head. 🐧

I try to be organised and have my own food with me as meal deal sandwiches are a bit uninspiring but if I had to choose I would say Morrisons salad meal deal was the best value.

Subway has saver sandwiches for 2.49...I do not know any good meal deals, supermarkets give so thin sandwiches, not fill me up and not worth the money.
