Is it Safe to Rent an Air b&b?
Ask a Question
Has anyone booked an Air b&b thinking about booking one for a couple of days and not to sure if it's ok?.
I've never used them, but then I don't go anywhere.
But I know people that have that have been fine.
If you find a place you like the look of, research it online as well, make sure it is a geuine place and that it is even open. Ring them direct with a genuine number you find using your research, if you want confirmation that it is a genuine advert and place.
Also make sure you know of any other places nearby and have a back up, always have a back up so you aren't stuck somewhere with no idea of other places to stay.
I'm sure it will be fine. I would hope with the bad press they got a few years ago they would have tightened who they allow to advertise on their site and make sure they are legitimate.
Yep used them before and have one booked for next week. Have a good look through the host reviews before you book to see what people have said about the host and the place and check they recommend them.
Booking with air BnB itself is easy and straightforward.
Just remember to respect the person place as they can rate you back too.
ILOVEFANTA that's great advice thank you so.so much for taking the time that's great!
I know they're illegal or short term lets in places like New York unless the owner is on the premises and I did read in the news this morning that other countries are considering the same.
I booked a air B&B a couple of years ago and I had to send a photo of myself when I first signed up. The place I booked was very clean and I enjoyed my visit. I always read the reviews before booking. Hope this helps.
My mother in law has used them before. One was awful and she requested a refund as couldn't stay there. The other one she went back to a number of times. Look through the host reviews as it will give you an idea of what to expect. Might be worthwhile looking at where it is as well so you get an idea of what's in that area, where public transport is if needed.
Iβve used air bnb twice, had good experiences both times and would book via air bnb again. Definitely look at reviews before booking for peace of mind.
I use them on most trips across Europe and never had any issues! Airbnb is available 24/7 so if something happens they're available to help you and move you into other accommodation if needed
