It certainly is very popular, whenever there's a new series the news is full of articles and discussions about it. I'm not a fan myself, it's not the kind of show I enjoy but each to their own.

PinkElephant26 angelik thanks for sharing! Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were. Like always there is a big debate on inclusively of the contestants in particular about having people off all shapes rather than the thin females and built males

It's not something that I would ever watch.

I don't think there is any 'love' on that island judging by the trailers that I try to miss. It's just people wanting attention to make a fast buck💲 hoping to become famous.

tumblespots yes I can see why that would be the case. People aren't chosen based on compatibility, they are just thrown into a villa based on who is more likely to entertain the public

I haven't watched it but it seems like the kind of TV show that once you start watching it, you will end up watching another episode to find out on the the latest update 😄 but overall I don't like the concept.

How many people who have appeared in the show are still together ? How many are married ? How many have kids ? Why in lords names is it called "Love Island"? Maybe under trade descriptions it should be renamed "Summer holiday where you have a holiday romance and you split before you come home and your banned from trying to then become a Z list celebrity "

stuartsmith544 🤣 haha that made me laugh. Couldn't agree more, whether you like the show or not. It really is more or less a holiday romance 99.99% of the time

It does seem to prove popular, but I’ve not watched an episode.

Plenty of work colleagues do watch it and talk about it at work, find from hearing titbits that’s is not my cup of tea.

Just don’t understand the concept of it to be honest.

kimcress that's for sure, the amount of people I know who watch it. Alot of the time the older generation only watch is because thier children got them into it

Never watched and don’t intend but read about it. How it’s described as a competition parading beautiful people around to fall in love BUT are they really just acting to win?

Pjran though its called reality TV alot of it is staged just to make the show more interesting. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing!

I find it really compelling car crash TV that's easy to watch when you've had a challenging day. I always thought it wasn't my kind of thing until I gave it a go.
