Thoughts on Topcashback
Ask a Question
I’ve been thinking of setting up an account with these, would you recommend?or is Quidco better?
You can have both if you want . I have personally found Topcashback much better , others may have a different opinion . Just looked at my account and I have had £996.93 in the 3 years I have had it .
It doesn't cost anything (unless you want a "Premium " account which I don't bother with ) .
They both as good as each other BUT when it comes to small cashback awards dont normally come with problems but I for 1 have a curse on my home insurance so when I get my home insurance done something always goes wrong .But there is the potential to make some seriously good amounts.
Same here.
I had a couple of purchases that didn't track, and they didn't seem to care and raising a claim was a waste of time.
It's Quidco all the time for me now.
I stopped using both. They just don't track my purchases and the best cashback deals I had were years ago, anyway.
Now it's just a few pennies here and there so it's not worth getting annoyed over it.
just have top cashback and i always forget to use it but from all the times ive used it ive got me some free money
I use both, I think I've had over £2,000 cashback on both Quidco and Topcashback but then I've had both accounts for many years, at least 8 years I think possibly longer. I remember making money from my home insurance by buying contents and buildings insurance separately and the cashback was more than the insurance but they have stopped that nowadays. The big issue for me is Topcashback never tracks ebay for me so have to use Quidco for ebay which does track ebay purchases slightly better. I do find overall Topcashback has better cashback rates. I had a few purchases declined cashback for no reason. I would never use Admiral insurance again.
On Quidco I've had 56 transactions declined out of 292 and on Topcashback 35 declined out of 414 transactions hence I favour Topcashback. Of those declined I've had greater success with topcashback in getting the money perhaps a third of those declined I've managed to claim for. Quidco is maybe 1 in 10. Nowadays I don't bother to put in claims unless its a higher value. I used to claim for cashback that was only £2 or 3 but don't bother now as the claims rarely succeed and its not worth the time.
I'm also more in favour of topcashback, made well over £900 over the years. Quido takes an age to clear cashback so I'm not a fan
I’ve used both and don’t use quidco anymore, but I’ve started to have similar tracking issues with TCB so I’m not quite happy with them either. Sometimes you’re just better off using a discount code
Love topcashback. In the 2 years I’ve used both I’ve made £1900 on topcashback and only £80 on Quidco, I always check both before buying and tcb 9 times out of 10 has a better rate.
Topcashback for me. Used to have Quidco as well but far to many untracked purchases with them . Neither are as good as they were a few years ago in terms of percentages paid or actual tracking but
It is worthwhile setting up an account as it costs you nothing and anything you get back is a bonus
TopCashback gives you many rewards which is a good thing, but the catch is that the majority of these rewards are for new members only. Would be nice if they had more rewards for veteran and loyal members.
Been with TopCashBack for quite some time now, had a few problems, some sorted and some not but prefer it over Quidco.
I’d say have a go at both because it wouldn’t hurt. I find that Topcashback tracks more quickly than Quidco. But that might just depend on the retailers I used on each. Also, Topcashback tend to frequently have new member deals where you get 100% cashback on your first purchase. Quidco has it as well but you usually can only get it through signing up to bloggers and influencers.
I belong to both Topcashback and Quidco and before I buy I check out the cashback rates and go with the highest rate.
I use both and have never had any issues. Most of the declines can be avoided if you read the simple Ts & Cs on each offer
It was always Quidco for me all the way - but then used Boom25 for many sites while they had decent returns. Back on Quidco for the time being now Boom has such low rates of return
