UK Lifting Lockdown
Other
Seen a lot of Facebook posts stating that the lockdown is over. I didn't think that this is the case myself and thought it had just been eased slightly. What are your thoughts?
I am not happy about the stupidity of people. I live near a sports field in a small village, we have had several groups on youngsters having a drinking session and a bbq. This has been going on for weeks. The police have known about it for a while, but have done nothing
It would be splashed all over the news if this were the case but from today it was eased. Groups of 6 in gardens or outside but families not living together still maintain social distancing.
Please do not spread this rumour, fb should take the comments down, before we know it we will be in a second wave and second lockdown.
Said up to 6 can meet, in gardens, but then said 6 can meet to EXCERCISE- ??Like all the families will meet up & start doing a workout session or something....
I've seen a lot of Facebook posts that I have chosen to ignore because people I know and respect appear to be living in a parallel universe. Let's have a dance with my elderly mother in the garden. It's ok because we span around 6 times and clapped for the NHS before eating dinner. We also write the phrase 'social-distancing' in every social media post and that automatically adds the required distance between us even though it actually looks like we are virtually touching each other.
It absolutely hasn't ended, there are some areas in which restrictions have eased but lockdown is very much not over, the virus is certainly not over and neither are measures to minimise the spread of infection
Lockdown has not ended! Why can people not understand this! Lockdown has been eased slightly! I have seen so many people not socially distancing, hugging each other etc and it really annoys me! I have followed the advice from the start, I'm still saying at home, but people seem to think they can do what they want now! I think that there will be a 2nd wave and we will have to go back into full lockdown!
Lock down in Scotland has eased slightly but I’m with you. I’m still staying at home I don’t want a second lockdown I want to hug my gran kids and have them for sleepovers but at the moment their safety is more important to me
heatherduthie I'm in Scotland too! I agree, everyone's safety is important right now! My mum and mother in law haven't seen in my son in months! But we all have to make sacrifices so that we can keep people safe.
Yes, lock down is not ended, but people think it is and there is no social distancing.
We are in stage 2 lock down, where rules apply
All we can do is wait for the second spike where loved ones of the idiots that are ignoring the rules die.
We're nowhere near the end of this thing and it has been managed very badly.
Anyone who believes that we are on the road to recovery and that there won't be a second spike is a misguided optimist. You only have to look at yesterday's gathering, in the capital, to predict it.
The phrase give some people an inch and they take a mile. This isn’t over! We are supposed to be following advice from the government but people are gonna do what they want regardless. I have been staying at home as advised and have only now started seeing family as we are now allowed with social distancing but I have seen that some people just don’t care now.
Two different heath care workers arrived at the same time for my poorly neighbour yesterday and they were talking face to face.
If the so called health professionals are ignoring government advice, where do we go?
So many people just haven't taken this seriously, they seem to think it's a game and a good laugh to ignore the rules, so many youngsters carry knives as some sort of game as they are too thick to realise that knives actually kill people, well this kills people and we have one of the highest death rates in the world, the government has handled it all incredibly badly and people are just idiots, I think now, as the saying goes, 'it's every man for himself!' x
