URGENT Festive Flu Warning for Young Children
In the News
Health chiefs are urging parents to vaccinate young children as soon as possible, after the number of patients with flu-like symptoms rose by 24% last week.
I have both my children vaccinate. I nagged my grandma that much about getting hers i thought I best get the children done as well. Better to be safe than sorry
Personally, I have had the flu jab and never again. The after-effects were horrendous. But everyone is different.
Same here. Not just me it was everyone I worked with. As I used to work for the NHS, they go on and on about flu jabs and it was always my job as secretary to arrange for the occy health nurses to come to give out the jabs. I've seen so many bad reactions now. I was ill for ages after having it. No way will I have that ever again.
I don't think that my son is allowed to get one as he is only 13 months so too young for one.
It's a individual choice i think. I'm always offered flu jab due to my medical condition, but I refuse it. I just feel uncomfortable about it. I dont like taken meds I dont need too anyways. Plus everyone I know who gets it is always ill afterwards so that's not very assuring.
I don't like taking any unessential medication, whatever the form, so I'm with you on this. I haven't had one but Mr Tumblespots did. Fortunately he didn't have any after effects but I was worried for him at the time.
You not allowed to just call it 'flu' anymore, it has to have a prefix/suffix to make it sound scarier!
tumblespots Many will disagree with the post. I believe flu shots are dangerous they cause more harm than they do good.
