The Value of a Signed Book

I do not collect any singed books. Deceased authors signatures will increase the value of the signed book. £1,800 to £2,500 would be a fantastic amount especially that the book was brought for only £0.01

I have quite a few signed books many of which I won through Goodreads when they allowed the UK to enter to win books. These days only The USA is allowed - I was really miffed when they changed the rules - it happened when Amazon took them over.

Not quite all of the signed books I have were won that way, I do value them though, even though they are kept with all the others and not in a special place. I just love books.

The value depends per collector, some like products signed and some don't, but more often than not signed items tend to be valuable.

You could try to sell on eBay, but people on there either "win" and then don't pay or you may get it sold for a value you're not happy. Personally, I always try to low-ball to get the best deal.

I only have one signed book and I didn't know it was signed when I bought it second hand off ebay. It is signed by the author Julian cope. If anyone remembers him from his band in the 80s teardrop explodes and their biggest hit reward. He's an expert on megalithic Britain nowadays.

I have a few signed books, but I'm not really focused on their monetary value - which probably isn't very much. I would be too wary of buying a signed book or object as it could always be a forgery. I would want to see the author signing the book
