Ve Day 75 Years to Day what will you be doing

Hi all hope you are all well. To day is ve day 75years to day. My grandad was a prison of war. His life and friends was saved by patten a USA general and the USA army. It was later that it was made in to a film. Which have watched. It's over 4 hours long. I will be having a little tea party around 4pm . What are you doing for ve day. 
Your grandad was one of many heroes. We appreciate their sacrifice all those years ago was way beyond the simple task of staying at home for most of us right now. Are you saying his individual story was made into a film? Which one?
Dennab yes that's the one. I've not got it on DVD yet. But I going to see if it's out on DVD. Thank you for sharing it. 
My grandad spent time in a German gulag. No film made about him but he was still my hero 
A bunch of us had a virtual picnic so we could be socially distant. Was quite weird having afternoon tea shared via skype but fun too
My daughter and her friend have spent the past week learning how to sign 'We' Meet Again' using BSL and we made up a video of them both side by side for their Cadets squadron. Very proud!
